Whenever I feel the need to be inspired I look at interior designer Daryl Carter's book The New Traditional. Based in Washington DC, Carter's work is so serene and easy on the eye. I love the way he mixes new and old. His spaces look so clean and simple, yet when you look closely there is a lot going on.
