When my friend Jenifer moved into a new house earlier this year she had every intention of setting up her dining room where the former owners had theirs. But then I came over and talked her out of it (count on opinionated friends). There was plenty of other space in the house to serve a big meal. Why not use this as her home office? She liked the idea and asked me if I'd help her pull it together. Glad to oblige and happy to report she loves it. I love that she didn't follow any "rules" and has made the space work for her and her family.
